HIGH ALTITUDE
NATURALS™ Wildcrafted German Chamomile is a soothing, calming and balancing essential oil which is ideal for the hyperactive, workaholic types and chronic worriers. German Chamomile essential oil has a high content of Azulene, the active organic compound of Chamomile. Azulenes, although linked to the color hues of blue, can also be green, violet, blue/violet and red/violet. Chamazulene, named such because it was first discovered in chamomile. Some azulenes occur naturally, within the plant, or the oil, while others, such as Chamazulene classically a component of German chamomile, are created from a precursor within the steam distillation process. The synergy of heat and pressure required for the distillation of this plant, (constituents are what would be termed "high boiling, requiring extreme and lengthy charge) and the inherent precursor within Matricaria of matricin, combine to produce the azulene based constituent of Chamazulene. Once distilled over, it will both alter the color and odor profile of the resultant oil and the longer the oil is distilled, the brighter the blue hue. To preserve the potency of essential components in the oil, our German Chamomile is NOT extensively boiled to reach deep blue hue, thus it has more greenish color and is more potent than deep-blue varieties on the market. Azulene has powerful anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties which makes German Chamomile the most suitable essential oil to use in skincare products. German Chamomile essential oil is derived from the German Chamomile plant cultivated in Nepal. German Chamomile has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and is soothing and calming for skin allergies such as eczema and other skin rashes. It is calming and soothing and can help with irritability and depression, as well as, help treat any kind of inflammation.
